Betty Ogundipe is a British artist with Nigerian heritage, born and raised in London. Her work describes the tension between militancy and femininity and uses this visual language to challenge attitudes about violence towards women. Through paintings, textile, photography and moving image, she explores womanhood and sisterhood using both hers and her peers’ experiences and definitions of femininity.
